Mighty is the fortress of the Divine

Mighty is the fortress of the Divine
Protection of the just, strong as a vine
In Heaven’s deliverer I will trust
Protect me and turn all evil to dust
For you are my rock and my high tower
Enemies turn at your sight and cower
You have redeemed me to proclaim your truth
Unrighteous fall because they are uncouth

But my spirit discerns truth by your grace
Simplicity of your love I embrace
Weakness I bring on myself when I fail
Lead me to heaven and your strength avail
With a contrite heart I do turn to you
By your mercy only you can renew

Psalm 31:3   “For thou art my rock and my fortress;
therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me.”

A song of David to give heaven praise

A song of David to give heaven praise
The Eternal shall all evil so raze
Thunderous voice upon the water cry
Heaven’s power upon which all rely
The mighty shake with the earth at the sound
Might Cedars of Lebanon abound
Yet they are split like dry kindling wood
Clear is the voice and so well understood

Full of glory and majesty it rings
Dividing flames of fire, peace it brings
Manifestations of Divine power
Weakness and evil surly do cower
The Holy One will give righteousness strength
Preserving the just to earth’s endless length

Psalm 29:5    “The voice of the LORD breaketh the cedars;
yea, the LORD breaketh the cedars of Lebanon.”

In dedication I will heaven praise

In dedication I will heaven praise
From my enemies wrath you did so raise
Lifting me up I do rejoice and cry
For on Heaven only I do rely
You have saved my soul from an early grave
In mercy and great kindness you did save
Your anger is but a moment in time
But Divine grace is truly so sublime

Favor from above forever will stand
Steadfast like a mountain at your command
What profit is there in death and the grave
The dust can not praise truth nor help to save
And though weeping may endure through the night
Joy comes in the morning sun’s rays so bright

Psalm 30:5   “For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favor
is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh
in the morning.”.

Unto Heaven I will cry on “The Rock”

Unto Heaven I will cry on “The Rock”
Hear my prayers as one of the faithful flock
I voice my supplications with my tears
Steady my heart and remove all my fears
Do not condemn me with the wicked ones
Whose heart after all mischief flees and runs
They run after darkness and all sadness
Bringing pain and suffering in madness

But I will praise heaven with my whole life
To live in goodness and avoid all strife
I lift my hands to heaven’s Divine will
In my life let your righteousness fulfill
The Eternal is my faithful strong shield
To your unconditional love I yield

Psalm 28:7   “The LORD is my strength and my shield; my
heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly
rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.”

When our mind is a fog and we can’t see

When our mind is a fog and we can’t see
A prison from which we yearn to be free
Yet there is no path, no clear lighted way
Darkness continues to lead us astray
We must stop and pray for the one true light
And not rely on our own human might
For the Eternal is our guiding lamp
And with newness of purpose will revamp

Of whom then shall we be truly in fear?
If we trust heaven for our life to steer
Teach me O Holy One show me the way
Shine in the brightness of a brand new day
You are my high tower of strength and hope
All praise to your name for the help to cope

Psalm 27:1   “The LORD is my light and my salvation;
whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life;
of whom shall I be afraid? “

Examine my life as an open book

Examine my life as an open book
The Spirit flows with life like a spring brook
True to myself I trust is in the Divine
As a branch I stay close to my life line
Test my heart and review my every thought
Subject to heaven I need not be bought
My free will comes from deep within my soul
Your laws are not needed for my control

At your Divine alter I do worship
With your armor you do my life equip
Your loving kindness fills all of my day
Walking in truth I do embrace your way
Your Word has washed me and made me so clean
The wonders of heaven have my eyes have seen

Psalm 26:2 Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try
my reins and my heart.”

O Heaven guide me by eternal truth

O Heaven guide me by eternal truth
Save me from the evil and the uncouth
My whole heart belongs to the Holy One
Salvation in you is already won
Deceitful liars will never abide
In heaven’s glory at your very side
Illuminate my paths with strength to live
Keep me safe in your mercy and forgive

Remember not the foolishness of youth
Let your simple way of love reveal truth
Help me to be one of the meek in heart
Give me the gift of real love to impart
Shelter me Divine Creator of grace
Your Spirit lives in me to run life’s race

Psalm 25:2   “O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed,
let not mine enemies triumph over me.”

All belongs to the One who reigns most high

All belongs to the One who reigns most high
Heaven’s royal throne no one can defy
Earth’s fullness and inhabitants who live
Can never earn what Divine rule does give
Upon the waters, all land did take form
To yield abundance to all who conform
Those of a pure heart can rise to the gate
Place of good reward, not evil’s bad fate

So lift up your heads open your soul’s heart
Welcome now your Divine Eternal start
Life on earth from ancient history’s past
Has been given mercy and grace to last
Who is the true Holy One of glory
The crown is revealed in the old story

Psalms 24:9 ESV Lift up your heads, O gates! And lift them up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.

Shepherd me O Holy one beyond fears

Shepherd me O Holy one beyond fears
Lead me, in green pastures all of my years
You supply my life with every good thing
Restoring my soul with salvation bring
Though I walk in dark valleys of death’s pain
In your love forever I will remain
With confidence I live all my days free
You confound my enemies so they flee

Protecting the weak your greatness is seen
As you provide peace that is so serene
Your comforting presence is always here
Spirit of kindness does surely appear
You do honor me as your family
Forever your child by your decree

Psalm 23:6   “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house

In our distress we cry out in despair

In our distress we cry out in despair
Over taken by fear, blind to your care
We feel that heaven is deaf to our cry
On ourselves we begin to thus rely
Bruised and naked we cry out loud in pain
Torture from our enemies is insane
Like the scourging of our Savior’s body
Who took our weakness thus to embody

The Romans marred more than any other
Leading us to so love one another
And for a moment all weakness was thus lain
In blood for our past was the lamb so slain
From the foundation of the world did bear
To free from bondage all human despair

Psalm 22:1   “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
why art thou so far from helping me, and from the
words of my roaring?”

Eternal you do seat those who so reign

Eternal you do seat those who so reign
Endless blessings you give and don’t refrain
In your mighty power is victory won
All the land celebrates, your praise is sung
All just rulers wear your mercy’s gold crown
No evil in their speech and hearts is found
You have set them over your holy hill
They will reign long if goodness they fulfill

As David the King need only to ask
In endless fine blessings he would have bask
Majesty and honor is yours to give
With abundant grace to all you forgive
All who walk with you find heaven’s joy
In peace, hope and love forever enjoy

Psalm 21:1   The king shall joy in thy strength,
O LORD; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!”

Celebrate for the victory is won

Celebrate for the victory is won
Eternal life of our souls has begun
Rejoice in the salvation that is sure
From heaven it comes like gold that is pure
May the Holy One grant all your desire
Live in the zeal of the Spirit’s fire
Raise your banners high with music in song
For of heaven are we claimed and belong
Not in our own strength do we stand so tall

Our enemies trust in their might and fall
You have given us sound faith and sure hope
The resources of heaven to help cope
Our prayers ascend to your throne up above
All help and rescue descends as a dove

Psalm 20:5   “We will rejoice in thy salvation, and
In the name of our God we will set up our banners:
The LORD fulfill all thy petitions.”

The heavens tell

The heavens do so clearly show and tell
Marvelous wonders of life that does dwell
Day into night they do sing your great Praise
Creator from whom all life you did raise
The firmament a cathedral to sing
Eternal love that sustains everything
There is no spoken word that tells the heart
But the message does crystal light impart

Without voice in a witness that is not herd
Traversing the world as a free bird
Spirit that bears testimony so pure
Eternal hope that is for all secure
Divine inheritance like a white dove
Birthright of all who are born from above

Psalm 19:1   “The heavens declare the glory of God;
and the firmament showeth his handiwork.”

Heaven lives and reigns in all

Heaven lives and reigns in all that is true
Safely do I live and daily renew
The Eternal is my salvation’s rock
All life’s mysteries does heaven unlock
Secure in the strength of the Holy One
All victories over all foes are won
Good Triumphs and righteousness does prevail
When I call on Heavens aid to avail

I will lift my voice and sing heart filled praise
For blessings I receive all of my days
In thoughts for help my prayers did ascend
Through Spirit heaven’s power did defend
Deliverance comes to all of the just
If we would in heaven give complete trust

Psalm   18:3   “I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy
to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies. “

Examine my heart O Eternal One

Examine my heart O Eternal One
Hear my prayers for your work in me begun
In you I have found favor to receive
Search my thoughts and find that I do believe
Trusting that you are always by my side
Because in righteousness I do abide
My prayers I do constantly offer up
Bread of life at your table I do sup

Reveal your tender boundless compassion
After your mercy is my life fashion
The innocent see your glorious face
The wicked are blind because they are base
You oppose my enemies with your power
Saving me every day and night hour

Psalm 17:3   “Thou hast proved mine heart; thou hast visited
me in the night; thou hast tried me, and shalt find nothing;
I am purposed that my mouth shall not transgress. “

Every good thing you do give to the just

Eternal who shall stand before your face?

Eternal who shall stand before your face?
Except through Divine and abiding grace
Who shall dwell on you Holy Hill of peace?
Only those who accept your great release
The righteous who speak truth from their own heart
These from your presence will never depart
In your tabernacle lives Love’s true friends
Those living in the Spirit who transcends

Wickedness has no place to find its home
Those given to selfishness will still roam
Those who accept blood money and reward
Will take their place with those who are abhorred
Those who become pillars of Divine grace
Will have an eternal abiding place

Psalm 15:1  “A Psalm of David. LORD, who shall
abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?"

There is no Holy One says intellect

There is no Holy One says intellect
Thinking on physical, faith they neglect
Without spiritual guide good is not known
Reaping only ignorance which was sown
From heaven is viewed a very sad scene
How human vanity seeks pain to glean
The works of the flesh bring such suffering
Running aimless after every bad thing

People lack the vision to understand
On their own intelligence they do stand
The source of all good comes from heaven’s guide
If in the Holy One we all abide
There we shall find blessings and all good things
That living at one with the Divine brings

Psalm 14:4    “Have all the workers of iniquity no
knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread,
and call not upon the LORD.”

I will sing and rejoice for salvation

I will sing and rejoice for salvation
Living in Love’s mercy with elation
Trust in Heaven’s promises brings blessing
When in faith I do not stop professing
There are moments when faith is truly weak
It is then I must, the Holy One seek
For in weakness is felt desolation
In sorrow, hopeless utter frustration

Evil seems to win over the upright
It is then that I pray for a new sight
To see salvation with my eyes and heart
Faith in the Divine that hope does impart
Trust in Heaven’s mercy will never fail
Sing and praise for good will truly prevail

Psalm 13:6   “I will sing unto the LORD, because he
hath dealt bountifully with me.”

All of the loyal and faithful have gone

All of the loyal and faithful have gone
The truly sincere seem to have withdrawn
Deceitful and bragging lips speak in vain
Flattering words we should work to refrain
A cunning tool words are used to impress
Concerned with self they do others oppress
The poor are mistreated, cry and moan
No one will help them, they are all alone

The Faithful One in heaven hears their cry
And their needs, Heaven will truly supply
Rescue comes for the tired and the weak
On Divine promises with trust do seek
Vanity does not prevail in the end
Heaven will always send love and defend

Psalm 12:2   “They speak vanity every one with his neighbor:
with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak.”

Put your trust in the Eternal on high

Put your trust in the Eternal on high
To heaven’s mountain as a bird do fly
Even when there seems to be no safe way
Trust in heaven’s shield to protect this day
For the arrows of those who would do harm
Angels will save and divinely disarm
Those who walk uprightly live under love
Celestial power comes from above

Trials do strengthen all the righteous hearts
From the violent the Holy One departs
There is an effect of every wrong cause
Defined by natural order and laws
The Eternal loves the righteous of heart
From their face will heaven never depart

Psalm 11:7   “For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness;
his countenance doth behold the upright.”

Why does the Eternal hide from trouble

Why does the Eternal hide from trouble,
When the poor are persecuted double?
Let the crooked fall into their own snare
Light the path of the upright to be ware
The proud heart boasts with greedy desire
Relies on self only to aspire
There is no humility of faith’s trust
In grievous vanity they are unjust

Full of cursing, fraud and deceit they lurk
In secret against the poor they do work
Those who rely on heaven for their aid
Will receive the help for which they have prayed
The Eternal does not hide from the poor
In salvation on eagle’s wings will soar

Psalm 10:17   “LORD, thou hast heard the desire of the humble:
thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear: “

I will praise the Eternal with my heart

I will praise the Eternal with my heart
Praise and thanks for the great blessings impart
The true righteous are never forsaken
Your spirit within them will awaken
Those who live for destruction will perish
Unless goodness they begin to cherish
Trust in heaven provides refuge to all
Safety for the oppressed when they do fall

Declare righteousness by those who sing praise
The glory of the Divine does amaze
Humble cries does Heaven never forget
All evil people on earth will submit
The Holy One will not let goodness fail
Justice for all the oppress will prevail

Psalm 9:11   “Sing praises to the LORD, which
dwelleth in Zion: declare among the people his doings”

Excellent is the Eternal One’s name

Excellent is the Eternal One’s name
In heaven and on earth none else can claim
All greatness and handiwork you have made
Foundation of all matter has been laid
Divine glory beyond the universe
Power beyond the stars you do disperse
What is human flesh, that you take notice?
Or a single blossom, like the lotus?

The birds of the air and life in the sea
Under the reign of one human life be
Lower than angels, yet given a crown
That flesh glorified may truly astound
Sun, moon and stars you have truly ordained
Your greatness and glory is unexplained

Psalm 8:1   “how excellent is thy name in all the earth!
who hast set thy glory above the heavens.”
